Narrative:
Climbing after takeoff from 25R at lax heading 250. Traffic was called, coming left to right, heading north at 2500' descending. Traffic passed our nose in a rapid descent too close for comfort. If controllers traffic call had been blocked, there would not have been sufficient time for a repeat.

Title: NMAC WITH ACFT TRANSITING SHORELINE VFR ROUTE.
Narrative: CLBING AFTER TKOF FROM 25R AT LAX HDG 250. TFC WAS CALLED, COMING L TO R, HDG N AT 2500' DSNDING. TFC PASSED OUR NOSE IN A RAPID DSNT TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. IF CTLRS TFC CALL HAD BEEN BLOCKED, THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT TIME FOR A REPEAT.
