Narrative:

After takeoff, when moving gear handle to the up position, the right main red in-transit light stayed illuminated. I moved the gear handle to the down position and got 6 green lights and notified ATC that I would be returning for landing. The aircraft landed west/O incident.

Title: FLT CREW UNABLE TO ELIMINATE RED GEAR IN-TRANSIT LIGHT. RETURNED AND LANDED.

Narrative: AFTER TKOF, WHEN MOVING GEAR HANDLE TO THE UP POSITION, THE R MAIN RED IN-TRANSIT LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED. I MOVED THE GEAR HANDLE TO THE DOWN POSITION AND GOT 6 GREEN LIGHTS AND NOTIFIED ATC THAT I WOULD BE RETURNING FOR LNDG. THE ACFT LANDED W/O INCIDENT.
