Narrative:

While proceeding inbound on the 24R localizer and maintaining 10000', ATC advised us of traffic 10 O'clock, 9400' proceeding in a nne direction. Shortly afterward we were alerted on TCAS of a TA target followed by an RA corrective alert to descend, crossing descend. We descended approximately 800' before we received a clear of conflict and returned to originally assigned altitude. We never saw the other aircraft.

Narrative: WHILE PROCEEDING INBND ON THE 24R LOC AND MAINTAINING 10000', ATC ADVISED US OF TFC 10 O'CLOCK, 9400' PROCEEDING IN A NNE DIRECTION. SHORTLY AFTERWARD WE WERE ALERTED ON TCAS OF A TA TARGET FOLLOWED BY AN RA CORRECTIVE ALERT TO DSND, XING DSND. WE DSNDED APPROX 800' BEFORE WE RECEIVED A CLR OF CONFLICT AND RETURNED TO ORIGINALLY ASSIGNED ALT. WE NEVER SAW THE OTHER ACFT.
