Narrative:

On 2/91, I flew into the dfw TCA west/O clearance. I was on a CFI chkride and we were climbing out after takeoff. The examiner had just told me I had failed because I had not briefed him on the use of the seatbelts. Before he told me what I did wrong, he asked me to see if I could figure it out. I was thinking more about that than the TCA. We were turning south and going away from the TCA. I did not even think about violating the TCA as I thought we would be well south of the TCA before I reached the altitude. We were climbing faster than I thought. Needless to say I was already nervous about the check ride. The examiner asked me what the TCA floor was when I entered the TCA. I then realized I was too high and began to descend out of the TCA immediately. We were in the TCA for about 1-2 mins. I think the main reasons I violated the TCA was nervousness from the check ride and being distraction by the examiner.

Title: PLT OF SMA ON CFI CHECK RIDE ENTERED DFW TCA WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: ON 2/91, I FLEW INTO THE DFW TCA W/O CLRNC. I WAS ON A CFI CHKRIDE AND WE WERE CLBING OUT AFTER TKOF. WE WERE TURNING S AND GOING AWAY FROM THE TCA. I DID NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT VIOLATING THE TCA AS I THOUGHT WE WOULD BE WELL S OF THE TCA BEFORE I REACHED THE ALT. WE WERE CLBING FASTER THAN I THOUGHT. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS ALREADY NERVOUS ABOUT THE CHK RIDE. THE EXAMINER ASKED ME WHAT THE TCA FLOOR WAS WHEN I ENTERED THE TCA. I THEN REALIZED I WAS TOO HIGH AND BEGAN TO DSND OUT OF THE TCA IMMEDIATELY. WE WERE IN THE TCA FOR ABOUT 1-2 MINS. I THINK THE MAIN REASONS I VIOLATED THE TCA WAS NERVOUSNESS FROM THE CHK RIDE AND BEING DISTR BY THE EXAMINER.
