Narrative:

After performing a runup and checking the traffic pattern for aircraft we observed an small aircraft on short final for runway 35 and an small transport jet on downwind also for runway 35. We waited for the small aircraft to touch down and proceeded to take the active after announcing our intentions on the unicom. After taking the 35 active we noticed the small aircraft was slowly extending its taxi down the runway to a taxiway more convenient to the local FBO parking area. While we were waiting for the small aircraft to clear the runway the small transport jet had completed its base leg for 35 and was calling final. At this point the small aircraft was still lazily taxiing down the active runway. Finally as the small aircraft cleared the runway, the small transport jet called short final and immediately after called, missed approach. Now that the small aircraft was clear of the runway and the small transport had called missed approach, we expedited our takeoff roll. After liftoff from runway 35, the small transport jet passed by our right wing some 300-400' away from our aircraft. As we reached pattern altitude and entered a downwind departure off of 35, the airport manager called over the unicom and requested we return to the airport office for a discussion on what had just happened. After a brief discussion with the airport manager, we departed. This incident could have been avoided if the small aircraft had immediately departed the runway at the first available taxiway instead of slowly taxiing to one more convenient to parking, and if the small transport jet had initiated the missed approach when first entering final and realizing there were 2 aircraft on the runway.

Title: PLT OF SMA TWIN HELD ON RWY FOR AN SMA WHO WAS SLOW CLEARING THE RWY. SMT JET ON FINAL HAD TO GO AROUND. ARPT MANAGER CALLED PLT TO RETURN LAND.

Narrative: AFTER PERFORMING A RUNUP AND CHKING THE TFC PATTERN FOR ACFT WE OBSERVED AN SMA ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 35 AND AN SMT JET ON DOWNWIND ALSO FOR RWY 35. WE WAITED FOR THE SMA TO TOUCH DOWN AND PROCEEDED TO TAKE THE ACTIVE AFTER ANNOUNCING OUR INTENTIONS ON THE UNICOM. AFTER TAKING THE 35 ACTIVE WE NOTICED THE SMA WAS SLOWLY EXTENDING ITS TAXI DOWN THE RWY TO A TXWY MORE CONVENIENT TO THE LCL FBO PARKING AREA. WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR THE SMA TO CLR THE RWY THE SMT JET HAD COMPLETED ITS BASE LEG FOR 35 AND WAS CALLING FINAL. AT THIS POINT THE SMA WAS STILL LAZILY TAXIING DOWN THE ACTIVE RWY. FINALLY AS THE SMA CLRED THE RWY, THE SMT JET CALLED SHORT FINAL AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER CALLED, MISSED APCH. NOW THAT THE SMA WAS CLR OF THE RWY AND THE SMT HAD CALLED MISSED APCH, WE EXPEDITED OUR TKOF ROLL. AFTER LIFTOFF FROM RWY 35, THE SMT JET PASSED BY OUR RIGHT WING SOME 300-400' AWAY FROM OUR ACFT. AS WE REACHED PATTERN ALT AND ENTERED A DOWNWIND DEP OFF OF 35, THE ARPT MGR CALLED OVER THE UNICOM AND REQUESTED WE RETURN TO THE ARPT OFFICE FOR A DISCUSSION ON WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED. AFTER A BRIEF DISCUSSION WITH THE ARPT MGR, WE DEPARTED. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE SMA HAD IMMEDIATELY DEPARTED THE RWY AT THE FIRST AVAILABLE TXWY INSTEAD OF SLOWLY TAXIING TO ONE MORE CONVENIENT TO PARKING, AND IF THE SMT JET HAD INITIATED THE MISSED APCH WHEN FIRST ENTERING FINAL AND REALIZING THERE WERE 2 ACFT ON THE RWY.
