Narrative:

This report is not about any specific occurrence. Rather, I have the suggestion to reinstate the old convention of having northbound traffic stay to the east side of the corridor and the southbound traffic stay to the west side. We spend a lot of time looking for traffic ahead which can't be seen because the afternoon haze limits visibility. If both aircraft are at the extreme latitude limits of the corridor, they won't be able to see each other.

Title: REPORTER RECOMMENDS RETURNING TO THE 'OLD' SYSTEM WHEREBY ACFT TRANSITING VFR CORRIDOR THROUGH LAX AIRSPACE USE THE LATERAL SEPARATION SCHEME OF KEEPING TO THE RIGHT OF THE CENTERLINE.

Narrative: THIS RPT IS NOT ABOUT ANY SPECIFIC OCCURRENCE. RATHER, I HAVE THE SUGGESTION TO REINSTATE THE OLD CONVENTION OF HAVING NBND TFC STAY TO THE E SIDE OF THE CORRIDOR AND THE SBND TFC STAY TO THE W SIDE. WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME LOOKING FOR TFC AHEAD WHICH CAN'T BE SEEN BECAUSE THE AFTERNOON HAZE LIMITS VISIBILITY. IF BOTH ACFT ARE AT THE EXTREME LAT LIMITS OF THE CORRIDOR, THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHER.
