Narrative:

Upon contacting ground when I exited the runway, I was informed that I had landed on the closed section of the runway. I had listened to the ATIS, but missed the runway NOTAM probably due to listening to approach frequency at the same time. Tower did not inform me when they cleared me to land that the first 2000' of the runway was closed, nor were there any markings on the runway to indicate the closure. When I parked, I listened to ATIS again. The guy who recorded the ATIS ran through the NOTAMS so fast, it would have been easy to miss the closure even with no distrs. I normally fly IFR, but was given so short a notice to reposition the aircraft, I didn't have time to file a flight plan or plan the flight.

Title: SMT LANDS ON CLOSED PORTION OF RWY AT FTW.

Narrative: UPON CONTACTING GND WHEN I EXITED THE RWY, I WAS INFORMED THAT I HAD LANDED ON THE CLOSED SECTION OF THE RWY. I HAD LISTENED TO THE ATIS, BUT MISSED THE RWY NOTAM PROBABLY DUE TO LISTENING TO APCH FREQ AT THE SAME TIME. TWR DID NOT INFORM ME WHEN THEY CLRED ME TO LAND THAT THE FIRST 2000' OF THE RWY WAS CLOSED, NOR WERE THERE ANY MARKINGS ON THE RWY TO INDICATE THE CLOSURE. WHEN I PARKED, I LISTENED TO ATIS AGAIN. THE GUY WHO RECORDED THE ATIS RAN THROUGH THE NOTAMS SO FAST, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASY TO MISS THE CLOSURE EVEN WITH NO DISTRS. I NORMALLY FLY IFR, BUT WAS GIVEN SO SHORT A NOTICE TO REPOSITION THE ACFT, I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO FILE A FLT PLAN OR PLAN THE FLT.
