Narrative:

Misunderstanding of a clearance point. We were an inbound flight to st thomas. San juan control had cleared us to 17000' direct to carib. We read back cleared to culeb 17 NM from stt. Center had us turned 20 degrees right as we almost entered W368. As we do not fly in this are on a daily basis, these 2 positions sound very much alike. Carib is 15 NM 002 degrees sju. Culeb is 17 NM 309 degrees stt. Would recommend one of these intxns' names be changed.
