Narrative:
I was involved talking with another officer and forgot, genuinely, to close/open flight plan. After arrival back at wright-patterson airport, base operations contacted me and asked what had happened. I met with the supervisor at base operations and he showed me what had happened in the system. I learned my lesson. As a military officer dealing with soldiers and equipment, I should have been more cognizant of procedures.
