We were given direction to hold short of taxiway RA by gate control. Upon contact with ground they told us to taxi out via rb. Taxiways RA and rb at ewr are recently completed and difficult to discern with the current marking. Ewr needs better label taxiway RA.

Title: Air carrier pilot reported unclear taxiway markings caused a taxiing error.

Narrative: We were given direction to hold short of Taxiway RA by Gate Control. Upon contact with Ground they told us to taxi out via RB. Taxiways RA and RB at EWR are recently completed and difficult to discern with the current marking. EWR needs better label taxiway RA.
