Narrative:

Laned at craig airport in jacksonville, fl. Got off active runway and 5 times requested permission from tower controller to switch to ground; I never got a response, so after surveying area started taxi to fob and switched to ground. On leaving craig some 10 mins later, ground told me I should have not taxied west/O their permission when I first landed and departed active for taxi to FBO.

Narrative: LANED AT CRAIG ARPT IN JACKSONVILLE, FL. GOT OFF ACTIVE RWY AND 5 TIMES REQUESTED PERMISSION FROM TWR CTLR TO SWITCH TO GND; I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE, SO AFTER SURVEYING AREA STARTED TAXI TO FOB AND SWITCHED TO GND. ON LEAVING CRAIG SOME 10 MINS LATER, GND TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE NOT TAXIED W/O THEIR PERMISSION WHEN I FIRST LANDED AND DEPARTED ACTIVE FOR TAXI TO FBO.
