Narrative:

Departed fat-sfo VFR with two crew members and two management people. Upon reaching the bay area at cedes intersection I was told to fly south and then direct woodside and then hold for 15 mins due to traffic into sfo. Sfo was VFR landing 28's, by the time it was ab:45 when I got to woodside and due to the AC:00 departures for the crew members and delays I thought I would see if I could land on the 1's holding short of the 28's. They said yes, so I continued to the airport and was told to maintain 4500' until 5 mi which set me up for a right base. I had done this approach in the past twice but I made a 360 degree turn on final to lose altitude, because of the 4500' until 5 mi. Landing on the 1's is not easy, because of altitude restriction, which I normally start a descent from 4500' 10-15 mi out, also there is no VASI or G/south for this runway. So, I continued on a right base with power at 20' in gear down, 15 degree flaps and speed was 130 then I started my descent out of 4500' about 1500 FPM. On reaching short final altitude look good but airspeed was 170, as I leveled off above the runway until I got to flap speed for full flaps and used the rest of the flaps and truck down before the 28's. At this time I realized I wouldn't be able to stop before the 28's and so did the tower, so they told air carrier on final to go around. The tower told me to give them a call when I got to the FBO so I did. When I called they said it would be up to the captain of air carrier to pursue it and I apologized for the mistake inconvenience. They said to call back in 20 mins. When I called back they said the captain accepted my apology and that he fly's on side when not working for air carrier and understands mistakes do happen, so neither one decided to pursue the matter.

Title: LTT REQUESTS TO LAND ON CROSS RWY AND HOLD SHORT OF ACTIVE TO EXPEDITE APCH AND LNDG. FAILS TO HOLD SHORT, CAUSES GO AROUND.

Narrative: DEPARTED FAT-SFO VFR WITH TWO CREW MEMBERS AND TWO MGMNT PEOPLE. UPON REACHING THE BAY AREA AT CEDES INTXN I WAS TOLD TO FLY S AND THEN DIRECT WOODSIDE AND THEN HOLD FOR 15 MINS DUE TO TFC INTO SFO. SFO WAS VFR LNDG 28'S, BY THE TIME IT WAS AB:45 WHEN I GOT TO WOODSIDE AND DUE TO THE AC:00 DEPS FOR THE CREW MEMBERS AND DELAYS I THOUGHT I WOULD SEE IF I COULD LAND ON THE 1'S HOLDING SHORT OF THE 28'S. THEY SAID YES, SO I CONTINUED TO THE ARPT AND WAS TOLD TO MAINTAIN 4500' UNTIL 5 MI WHICH SET ME UP FOR A R BASE. I HAD DONE THIS APCH IN THE PAST TWICE BUT I MADE A 360 DEG TURN ON FINAL TO LOSE ALT, BECAUSE OF THE 4500' UNTIL 5 MI. LNDG ON THE 1'S IS NOT EASY, BECAUSE OF ALT RESTRICTION, WHICH I NORMALLY START A DSNT FROM 4500' 10-15 MI OUT, ALSO THERE IS NO VASI OR G/S FOR THIS RWY. SO, I CONTINUED ON A R BASE WITH PWR AT 20' IN GEAR DOWN, 15 DEG FLAPS AND SPD WAS 130 THEN I STARTED MY DSNT OUT OF 4500' ABOUT 1500 FPM. ON REACHING SHORT FINAL ALT LOOK GOOD BUT AIRSPD WAS 170, AS I LEVELED OFF ABOVE THE RWY UNTIL I GOT TO FLAP SPD FOR FULL FLAPS AND USED THE REST OF THE FLAPS AND TRUCK DOWN BEFORE THE 28'S. AT THIS TIME I REALIZED I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO STOP BEFORE THE 28'S AND SO DID THE TWR, SO THEY TOLD ACR ON FINAL TO GO AROUND. THE TWR TOLD ME TO GIVE THEM A CALL WHEN I GOT TO THE FBO SO I DID. WHEN I CALLED THEY SAID IT WOULD BE UP TO THE CAPT OF ACR TO PURSUE IT AND I APOLOGIZED FOR THE MISTAKE INCONVENIENCE. THEY SAID TO CALL BACK IN 20 MINS. WHEN I CALLED BACK THEY SAID THE CAPT ACCEPTED MY APOLOGY AND THAT HE FLY'S ON SIDE WHEN NOT WORKING FOR ACR AND UNDERSTANDS MISTAKES DO HAPPEN, SO NEITHER ONE DECIDED TO PURSUE THE MATTER.
