International officer flying aircraft. Landing at paris orly runway 25. Tail skid strike during landing. Aircraft near maximum gross landing weight 290000# airspds and altitudes within limits. Rotation (flare) seemed normal. F/a's from back of aircraft called to report scrapping noise on landing. Inspection revealed tail skid strike. Aircraft was widebody transport type a crews fly widebody transport type a and B and large transport as common rating. Considerable difference exists between 3 aircraft types as to takeoff and landing attitudes.

Narrative: INTL OFFICER FLYING ACFT. LNDG AT PARIS ORLY RWY 25. TAIL SKID STRIKE DURING LNDG. ACFT NEAR MAX GROSS LNDG WT 290000# AIRSPDS AND ALTS WITHIN LIMITS. ROTATION (FLARE) SEEMED NORMAL. F/A'S FROM BACK OF ACFT CALLED TO RPT SCRAPPING NOISE ON LNDG. INSPECTION REVEALED TAIL SKID STRIKE. ACFT WAS WDB TYPE A CREWS FLY WDB TYPE A AND B AND LGT AS COMMON RATING. CONSIDERABLE DIFFERENCE EXISTS BTWN 3 ACFT TYPES AS TO TKOF AND LNDG ATTITUDES.
