Narrative:

I was PF, first officer captain was filling out company requested engine data. I started the log out of 10000'. The first officer was flying with the autoplt in control wheel steering and failed to level off at the assigned altitude. Contributing factors were: buildups in the area and I, the captain, was not monitoring his altitude close enough.

Narrative: I WAS PF, F/O CAPT WAS FILLING OUT COMPANY REQUESTED ENG DATA. I STARTED THE LOG OUT OF 10000'. THE F/O WAS FLYING WITH THE AUTOPLT IN CTL WHEEL STEERING AND FAILED TO LEVEL OFF AT THE ASSIGNED ALT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE: BUILDUPS IN THE AREA AND I, THE CAPT, WAS NOT MONITORING HIS ALT CLOSE ENOUGH.
