I received a copy of FAA info 17021 regarding risks associated with the use of fire containment products. Our fire containment bag on the 787 has instructions that are very different from the FAA recommendation. Pilots should be made aware of this bulletin and the company should determine the best course of action for any ped fires.

Narrative: I received a copy of FAA InFO 17021 regarding risks associated with the use of fire containment products. Our Fire Containment Bag on the 787 has instructions that are very different from the FAA recommendation.
