Narrative:

I was at 3500' MSL squawking code with mode C on. Saw other plane at my 5 O'clock position closing. Made right climbing turn to avoid. Other plane passed under me from 5-11 O'clock. Called to mcn approach. Was told he did not see it. When I asked to repeat was told, 'don't be a wise guy, sir,' then 'squawk 1200 radar service terminated.' I went to 1200 on squawk and later contacted jax approach for further flight following.
