Narrative:

I moved from the D24 position (cvi lo) to the L24 position to assist my R24 controller as the sector was becoming saturated. We had an unusual flow of climbing and descending traffic within the sector and in my haste to relieve my R24 controller of an overpwring amount of traffic already within our sector I failed to compelte the necessary coordination with the appropriate sector (R38 tyi river hi sector) that would have prevented this system error. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: the reporter stated the types of aircraft were air carrier, large transport and an military fgt. The reporter was working as a radar handoff controller for the low altitude sector. Air carrier Y was at FL230 and needed higher altitude. The reporter instructed the low altitude radar controller to climb air carrier Y. He then attempted a radar handoff to the high altitude sector. Sep was lost with the fgt Y at FL240. Miss distance, 4MI and 400'. System error was filed. C/a activated.

Title: ACR X HAD LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION FROM FGT Y. SYSTEM ERROR.

Narrative: I MOVED FROM THE D24 POS (CVI LO) TO THE L24 POS TO ASSIST MY R24 CTLR AS THE SECTOR WAS BECOMING SATURATED. WE HAD AN UNUSUAL FLOW OF CLBING AND DSNDING TFC WITHIN THE SECTOR AND IN MY HASTE TO RELIEVE MY R24 CTLR OF AN OVERPWRING AMOUNT OF TFC ALREADY WITHIN OUR SECTOR I FAILED TO COMPELTE THE NECESSARY COORD WITH THE APPROPRIATE SECTOR (R38 TYI RIVER HI SECTOR) THAT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS SYS ERROR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: THE RPTR STATED THE TYPES OF ACFT WERE ACR, LGT AND AN MIL FGT. THE RPTR WAS WORKING AS A RADAR HDOF CTLR FOR THE LOW ALT SECTOR. ACR Y WAS AT FL230 AND NEEDED HIGHER ALT. THE RPTR INSTRUCTED THE LOW ALT RADAR CTLR TO CLB ACR Y. HE THEN ATTEMPTED A RADAR HDOF TO THE HIGH ALT SECTOR. SEP WAS LOST WITH THE FGT Y AT FL240. MISS DISTANCE, 4MI AND 400'. SYS ERROR WAS FILED. C/A ACTIVATED.
