Narrative:

We overshot the localizer final approach course to the south for lax runway 24R due to a late heading assignment and winds out of north. We corrected intercept heading and captured the localizer 24R. At no time did we receive any TCAS tas or ras. We completed the approach and landed without any further issue. Possible added factors where winds out of the north and wake turbulence avoidance. We encountered wake twice; ATC did advise that we were following a B787.
