Narrative:

First officer flying aircraft, first approach controller gave us a 310 heading, vectors for runway 3L. All 3 crew briefed for an ILS to runway 3L. Following our extensive briefing to runway 3L ILS, the controller handed us off to the final approach controller. The final controller gave us a series of vectors, did not specify which runway, and on his last vector, which did not look right to us, I questioned him as to which runway we were going to. He said these were vectors to 3R. We had set up, briefed on, and were ready for an ILS to 3L as previously issued. This is another case where controllers are not communicating with each other. I called the TRACON on the ground, the supervisor said there was no conflict with other traffic, and that this happens.
