Narrative:

We were scheduled to fly the last leg from dal (I was the first officer). We were running late because of a plane change in the previous airport where the new aircraft was late and we had a gate return in dal to change the fuel filter on number 2 engine. We ended up departing dal late. When we called for taxi in dal; the controller said taxi to 13R and then rattled off a complex taxi instruction very quickly. I read back the first part of the taxi instruction and asked to repeat the rest. He then said to just follow the aircraft on our left and again rattled off taxi routing very quickly. I repeated what I thought I heard and there was no correction reply. We then turned to follow company and the captain and I confirmed the taxi route; we copied; D2-cross runway 18-C5-C; and it made sense. As we taxied on C toward the runway; the aircraft ahead did not stop short as they must have been cleared right away for takeoff. The next thing we know; tower tells us to stop and instructs an aircraft on final to go around. Subsequently; we were cleared for takeoff. I am unable to confirm if we were actually past the hold short line or not.runway 13R at dal has a very non-standard hold short line. Instead of being on the taxiway that leads to the runway; it is on the parallel taxiway. The airport diagram (10-9) does not depict this but it does depict a non-standard hold short line for 13L as 'hot spot 1.' the company airport pages for dal do not say anything about the non-standard hold short lines (which are harder to see at night).recommend hold short line for 13R be depicted on the airport diagram and also possibly designated as a hot spot. Recommend caution for non-standard hold short lines for runway 13L/right be included in the company airport pages for dal. Recommend airport markings/signage/lighting be reviewed for accuracy and improvement.
