Narrative:
I overflew bedford, PA direct hagerstown direct, then mtn direct because the visibility improved after leaving hagerstown. At some point I unintentionally overflew the southeast corner of P40 at 5500'. 31 NM northwest of baltimore I contacted bwi approach and they advised me I had overflown the restr airspace southeast corner and requested my name, full call sign and home base. On landing at mtn, I went to the tower, advised them of the overflt. They called bwi approach, then dca approach, and said the secret service would contact me. I then returned to ilg and went to the tower. They advised me the secret service had already called and tracked me to ilg 3 hours before I got there! I spoke with both a representative of the marine corps, camp david, and the secret service. I could have avoided this whole incident had I double-checked the chart. The other pilot had 30+ yrs of flying, but difficulty with reading close-up and he simply did not notice the small circle P40. He flies in a region with little restr airspace. I had not flown this particular route before and was not familiar with it. It had been a long haul back from tx at 90 KTS, and I simply did not double-check the chart.

Title: PLT OF HELICOPTER ENROUTE TO BWI INADVERTENTLY OVERFLEW PROHIBITED AREA P40. SECRET SERVICE, MARINES, ARTCC ALL BUSY TRACKING THE SMA HELICOPTER.
Narrative: I OVERFLEW BEDFORD, PA DIRECT HAGERSTOWN DIRECT, THEN MTN DIRECT BECAUSE THE VISIBILITY IMPROVED AFTER LEAVING HAGERSTOWN. AT SOME POINT I UNINTENTIONALLY OVERFLEW THE SE CORNER OF P40 AT 5500'. 31 NM NW OF BALTIMORE I CONTACTED BWI APCH AND THEY ADVISED ME I HAD OVERFLOWN THE RESTR AIRSPACE SE CORNER AND REQUESTED MY NAME, FULL CALL SIGN AND HOME BASE. ON LNDG AT MTN, I WENT TO THE TWR, ADVISED THEM OF THE OVERFLT. THEY CALLED BWI APCH, THEN DCA APCH, AND SAID THE SECRET SVC WOULD CONTACT ME. I THEN RETURNED TO ILG AND WENT TO THE TWR. THEY ADVISED ME THE SECRET SVC HAD ALREADY CALLED AND TRACKED ME TO ILG 3 HRS BEFORE I GOT THERE! I SPOKE WITH BOTH A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MARINE CORPS, CAMP DAVID, AND THE SECRET SVC. I COULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS WHOLE INCIDENT HAD I DOUBLE-CHKED THE CHART. THE OTHER PLT HAD 30+ YRS OF FLYING, BUT DIFFICULTY WITH READING CLOSE-UP AND HE SIMPLY DID NOT NOTICE THE SMALL CIRCLE P40. HE FLIES IN A REGION WITH LITTLE RESTR AIRSPACE. I HAD NOT FLOWN THIS PARTICULAR RTE BEFORE AND WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH IT. IT HAD BEEN A LONG HAUL BACK FROM TX AT 90 KTS, AND I SIMPLY DID NOT DOUBLE-CHK THE CHART.
