Narrative:

Landing in denver, 26L the final controller cleared us to approach. We were 1 of 2 aircraft on frequency. It was very quiet on the frequency. After landing we asked if we were cleared to cross 26R and the controller replied, yes. As we switched to ground control we discovered that we were still on approach control frequency and not local control. There was some confusion as to whether we were to switch to tower or supposed to remain on the final controller's frequency.

Title: MLG RWY TRANSGRESSION. LWOC. RECEIVED CROSSING CLRNC FROM APCH CTLR INSTEAD OF LCL CTLR.

Narrative: LNDG IN DENVER, 26L THE FINAL CTLR CLRED US TO APCH. WE WERE 1 OF 2 ACFT ON FREQ. IT WAS VERY QUIET ON THE FREQ. AFTER LNDG WE ASKED IF WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS 26R AND THE CTLR REPLIED, YES. AS WE SWITCHED TO GND CTL WE DISCOVERED THAT WE WERE STILL ON APCH CTL FREQ AND NOT LCL CTL. THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION AS TO WHETHER WE WERE TO SWITCH TO TWR OR SUPPOSED TO REMAIN ON THE FINAL CTLR'S FREQ.
