Narrative:

After landing on runway 22, learned that it was closed due to construction activity. Did not receive NOTAM on closure during FSS briefs in indiana or michigan. Did not get response on unicom even though intention to land and entering final was annoyed on CTAF. The basic problem seems to be that while the NOTAM system seems to generally call out NAVAID status and gets passed to other districts. The mundane runway closure information doesn't get outside the controling district readily enough.
