Narrative:

Upon entering the traffic pattern for runway 27 at neveln field, I observed an aircraft taxiing on the runway 9 to the east. I did not hear the taxiing aircraft on the radio. I announced my positions in the traffic pattern mentioning a possible low approach as I was unsure what the aircraft on the ground was going to do. On final approach near the runway, I saw the aircraft on the ground stopped at the beginning of runway 27. Fearing the plane on the ground might start a takeoff while beneath me, I decided to go around. I applied full power and accelerated down the runway to gain airspeed to climb and get away from the airplane at the end of the runway, climbing as soon as safely feasible. After gaining altitude, I departed the area.

Title: PLT OF SMA MAKES GO AROUND WHEN ANOTHER ACFT IS IN POSITION FOR TKOF ON ACTIVE RWY. A NON TWR UNICOM ARPT, REPORTER DID NOT HEAR OTHER TRAFFIC. APPARENTLY MAKES A LOW PASS DURING GO AROUND.

Narrative: UPON ENTERING THE TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 27 AT NEVELN FIELD, I OBSERVED AN ACFT TAXIING ON THE RWY 9 TO THE EAST. I DID NOT HEAR THE TAXIING ACFT ON THE RADIO. I ANNOUNCED MY POSITIONS IN THE TFC PATTERN MENTIONING A POSSIBLE LOW APCH AS I WAS UNSURE WHAT THE ACFT ON THE GND WAS GOING TO DO. ON FINAL APCH NEAR THE RWY, I SAW THE ACFT ON THE GND STOPPED AT THE BEGINNING OF RWY 27. FEARING THE PLANE ON THE GND MIGHT START A TKOF WHILE BENEATH ME, I DECIDED TO GO AROUND. I APPLIED FULL POWER AND ACCELERATED DOWN THE RWY TO GAIN AIRSPEED TO CLIMB AND GET AWAY FROM THE AIRPLANE AT THE END OF THE RWY, CLIMBING AS SOON AS SAFELY FEASIBLE. AFTER GAINING ALT, I DEPARTED THE AREA.
