Narrative:

Flight was operating from bwi to bdl. Approaching runway 15R for takeoff, baltimore tower cleared the flight for 'takeoff, no delay, aircraft on 3 NM final'. As we rolled onto the runway the tower again cleared us for 'takeoff, no delay, or hold in position, aircraft on 2 NM final, advise intentions'. Power was advanced and the first officer responded 'on the roll'. The takeoff was normal but shortly after lifting off, a traffic conflict developed with an medium large transport Y. Flight, who was the aircraft previously identified as the traffic on 2 NM final, was on final to runway 04 and because of the potential conflict he saw between our aircraft, he had executed a go around. Later discussions with tower supervisors revealed that a 'cancel takeoff clearance' call by tower was made after we started takeoff roll. We did not hear the call and did not acknowledge it. After liftoff we saw the medium large transport Y on go around and did a slight push over to ensure separation. Other flight was climbing from his go around. Both aircraft flight crews had visual contact and maneuvered to provide separation. The medium large transport Y passed approximately 300-500' behind and 100-200' above the medium large transport X. This potential flight path conflict could have been avoided earlier by tower controllers following a more conservative approach, ie, having hold in position if there was any possibility of a conflict.

Title: CLOSE PROX ACR MLG ON TKOF AND ACR MLG MAKING EVASIVE GO AROUND FROM INTERSECTING RWY.

Narrative: FLT WAS OPERATING FROM BWI TO BDL. APCHING RWY 15R FOR TKOF, BALTIMORE TWR CLRED THE FLT FOR 'TKOF, NO DELAY, ACFT ON 3 NM FINAL'. AS WE ROLLED ONTO THE RWY THE TWR AGAIN CLRED US FOR 'TKOF, NO DELAY, OR HOLD IN POSITION, ACFT ON 2 NM FINAL, ADVISE INTENTIONS'. POWER WAS ADVANCED AND THE F/O RESPONDED 'ON THE ROLL'. THE TKOF WAS NORMAL BUT SHORTLY AFTER LIFTING OFF, A TFC CONFLICT DEVELOPED WITH AN MLG Y. FLT, WHO WAS THE ACFT PREVIOUSLY IDENTIFIED AS THE TFC ON 2 NM FINAL, WAS ON FINAL TO RWY 04 AND BECAUSE OF THE POTENTIAL CONFLICT HE SAW BETWEEN OUR ACFT, HE HAD EXECUTED A GO AROUND. LATER DISCUSSIONS WITH TWR SUPVRS REVEALED THAT A 'CANCEL TKOF CLRNC' CALL BY TWR WAS MADE AFTER WE STARTED TKOF ROLL. WE DID NOT HEAR THE CALL AND DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT. AFTER LIFTOFF WE SAW THE MLG Y ON GO AROUND AND DID A SLIGHT PUSH OVER TO ENSURE SEPARATION. OTHER FLT WAS CLIMBING FROM HIS GO AROUND. BOTH ACFT FLT CREWS HAD VISUAL CONTACT AND MANEUVERED TO PROVIDE SEPARATION. THE MLG Y PASSED APPROX 300-500' BEHIND AND 100-200' ABOVE THE MLG X. THIS POTENTIAL FLT PATH CONFLICT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED EARLIER BY TWR CTLRS FOLLOWING A MORE CONSERVATIVE APCH, IE, HAVING HOLD IN POSITION IF THERE WAS ANY POSSIBILITY OF A CONFLICT.
