Narrative:

The controller cleared me to camrn intersection on the camrn two arrival into jfk to hold as published with 10 mi legs. Camrn is on the deer park 221 radial at 53 DME. En route from acy to camrn, I had begun recalculating the amount of time I could hold at the next holding fix when the lead F/a entered the cockpit. She inquired about the expected delay, connections at jfk, and whether to offer free drinks to the passenger. While discussing the situation with her, I flew past camrn intersection to approximately the 30 DME point. I called center and he asked me to identify and then cleared me for a 180 back to camrn to hold. The first officer was the one to notice error. In my opinion, two factors contributed to my error: I had been on this aircraft (medium large transport) for 75 hours after having been copilot on widebody transport for 1 1/2 yrs with moving map display and automatic holding feature. (It would have flown me to camrn and begun holding.)
