Narrative:

Supplemental air carrier X was cleared from the vicinity of ipt direct ign and a judds 2 arrival to bdl at FL370. Foreign air carrier Y was flying J95 to buf climbing to FL310. After X was in the sector I descended him to FL240. Later I amended his clearance to FL290 for crossing traffic. I then turned X 20 degree left for air carrier Z. When he was clear of Z. I again cleared X direct ign. Conflict alert went off between X and Y. I leveled X at FL320. I turned Y 30 degree right. I then descended Y to FL290, but I called Y by wrong trip number by mistake. I turned X 30 degree right, and went back and gave Y a descent clearance to FL290. I did not see that Y would be traffic for X. After I had to vector X around Z, I should have leveled Y at FL280 until I was sure he was clear of X.
