Narrative:
Approximately 30 mi tou (tatoosh VOR) widebody transport X flying sebnd from mdo (anc center) direct to tou. First officer sighted widebody transport Y ahead approximately 20 to 30 mi contrailing (which helped) and said looks like at our altitude. Then at 10 mi approximately vancouver center said widebody transport Y turn 30 degree immediately and widebody transport X turn left 40 degree immediately. We missed by approximately 5 mi, maybe 4.
