Narrative:

I was working small transport X into fld. He had been cleared for a straight in sdf 36 approach. It appeared initially that aircraft would be under overflt small aircraft Y. Conflict alert went off when aircraft were about 8 mi apart, same altitude. Small aircraft Y was given a turn (not acknowledged) and small transport X was told to expedite through 5000' (other overflt was at 6000'). Traffic was at a moderate level. I was going over the top of small aircraft Y with an inbound to osh. At the same time when small transport X was told to expedite his descent, it wasn't in time to avoid the operational error.
