Narrative:

Almost hit by city snow plows due to out of control driving. We were holding short of gate due to a high pile of snow that blocked our entry. Two city snow plows arrived at high speed to remove the snow. The first one barreled in from our left (the east); and jack-knifed after hitting the snow sliding out of control for about 30 ft. It appeared that he was close to hitting the wing-walker/marshaller on our forward left side. The second snowplow barreled in from our right side (the west) and hit the same pile of snow after the other plow backed away. He also jack-knifed his plow; spinning about 270 degrees within 10 ft of the aircraft. I thought he was going to hit the aircraft. This was unprofessional; dangerous and completely unacceptable. I called operations to capture the event on the gate camera and a picture is worth a thousand words. These drivers should not be working on the flight line; careless disregard for the safety of others.
