Narrative:

On final approach the landing gear was selected down. The main landing gear came down and locked with two green lights but the nose gear indicator light remained red and the nose pin indicator remained down (gear not down and locked position). The captain executed a go around and the tower was advised of our situation and an emergency was declared. We complied with the QRH procedures and the nose gear was lowered with the emergency gear extension lever. A green down and locked indication was then received with a nose pin indicator up (gear down and locked position). An uneventful normal landing occurred.
