Narrative:
The south boundary of tpa airspace second layer of class B airspace is very vague and confusing. Tpf (oknight) is underneath the second ring of tpa class B airspace. When departing tpf (oknight) I was mistaken as to what was the floor of this second ring. The sectional chart should be better marked and the boundary of the tpa better defined. After landing I showed this to two other pilots; both 20 year ATP for major commercial airlines; one a check airman. Both concede that the airspace marking were very vague and confusing and they were uncertain of the boundary. Sectional markings for the boundary of class B at tpa should be improved.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A pilot departing TPF was confused by the Sectional Chart presentation of the uneven and poorly contrasted Blue TPA Class B second ring line east of TPF and climbed into Class B by 200 FT.
