Narrative:
I was the number 3 aircraft on (left) traffic; a few minutes after entering a long final I heard the tower advising a bonanza on right traffic to turn base after me. A few minutes later I see the bonanza turning to final at my 12 o'clock. The tower asked the bonanza to turn right immediately. I started a right turn after seeing the bonanza; after it turned right; I turned left and then back to final. The bonanza returned to the pattern. It was a close call.
