Narrative:

On final approach when gear was selected down; only the nose and right main gear down lock lights illuminated. The gear handle disagreement light was extinguished as well which means that all gear agrees with the position of the handle. While selecting flaps to 20 the configuration cwp light and horn sounded. We ran the emergency/non normal checklist and then executed a go-around/missed approach. ATC; operations; dispatch and maintenance were notified and we discussed the situation with maintenance thoroughly. We declared an emergency with ATC and notified emergency personnel to standby at the runway of landing. Passengers were kept fully informed of the situation. A normal landing then followed. The event occurred because of a failure to receive a green down and locked light from the left main gear during extension. This was due to a cannon plug that was found unplugged.
