Narrative:
Air carrier X was on departure roll and air carrier Y was on short final for runway 9R. Coordination for multiple aircraft was being completed [by] myself and another local controller for 2 heavy departures off of runway 10. After the coordination I scanned the 9R final and rolled because I didn't see air carrier Y.

Title: ORD Controller described a conflict event between traffic operating on intersecting runways; one report recommending the relocation of one local position.
Narrative: Air Carrier X was on departure roll and Air Carrier Y was on short final for Runway 9R.
