Narrative:

Got master caution light and audible ding after throttles were pushed up and aircraft began accelerating for takeoff. [We] aborted takeoff per SOP at 75 KTS. Uneventfully exited runway; and taxied back to gate. ECAM stated hot brakes even thought no brake temperature exceeded 270 degrees (300 or above triggers fault and master caution). Maintenance could not find the problem; and tried to push aircraft back on us. [We] refused to fly for safety concerns.
