Narrative:

While on henly 7 departure told to turn left direct sat VOR out of 3000' and climb to 13000' (which was in clearance). While in left turn, climbing through 4300', told to stop turn at 040 degree heading and level at 4000', then level at 5000'. Controller told us that he had given us a right turn. We never acknowledged it nor was evasive action taken. I feel that he never gave it to us nor did we even acknowledge a clearance to do so. Henley 7 is programmed for a left turn and 13000'. If any contrary clearance is given, the controller should ensure that it is received.
