Narrative:

I contacted scheduling shortly after our arrival to see if we were still legal for the show later that day. I was then told that we were still legal for show. Shortly after waking I called scheduling again to get another opinion on the 'rest' concern. I was told by scheduler and affirmed; supposedly by a supervisor; that I was legal under reduced rest provisions to show as scheduled. We; my first officer and I; showed at airport as scheduled and proceeded to our destination without incident. Upon arrival I checked my phone and was then made aware; through voice mail; that I had shown too early for trip by approximately twenty six minutes. For one scheduler to make a mistake is understandable but for two to make same mistake is suspect; and for second scheduler to lie to me about him speaking with supervisor and saying the supervisor agrees show time is legal goes beyond my comprehension of what is right.
