Narrative:
We were held in deice for a 13-minute after the hour controlled takeoff. We taxied with ground to the runway after approximately five minutes. We were cleared to luaw with crossing runway (33L) traffic point out. I confirmed the luaw with the captain. I read back luaw to ATC. We taxied into position and held while looking for the crossing runway traffic. In position; we were told we were supposed to have held short; we were told to stay in position until time for takeoff.

Title: Air Carrier awaiting a controlled departure time taxied into position on the runway apparently contrary to ATC's instructions.
