Narrative:

This is forwarded at the advice of our local mechanic. I work for airline based in minneapolis, mn. For the month of september I am scheduled to fly a pattern apparently the final day of the trip has come under question by the FAA to the point of a fine being imposed on the company for a violation of the FARS. The company has refused to pay the fine and thus the problem is still unresolved and yet the pilots are still expected to fly the pattern as printed. Widebody transport hnl-lax depart XA20, arrive XF30. Ete 5+10. Lax-msp depart XG30, arrive XJ52. Ete 3+22. Scheduled for 8+32 in 24 hours with only a 1 hour layover in lax. The FARS consider this domestic flying based on the second leg. We are therefore illegal.
