Narrative:
After replacement of #1 engine integrated drive generator (idg); [was] unable to test idg per maintenance manual (MM) 24-11-00-501; because [I was] unable to put it online. #1 engine idg deferred out of ZZZ due to time; [in] december 2010. One day later; ZZZ1 maintenance found 4-each idg cables installed 180-degree out (mechanic that signed-off deferred was called the next day). All three of the idg electrical phase cables and one each ground cable are exact same diameter and [with same size phase lead] lugs.

Title: After replacing the #1 engine integrated drive generator (IDG) on a B757-200 aircraft; a Line Mechanic defers the IDG because he was unable to bring the IDG on-line during an engine run. A Downline Maintenance Station finds all four generator power cables attached 180-degrees out (reversed) at the terminal block.
