Narrative:

The first officer's takeoff. At start of the departure roll from lga runway 4, when the parking brakes were released and the power levers advanced, the takeoff warning horn sounded. At about 1 KT, the takeoff roll was stopped and I taxied down the runway and turned off at the first left turnoff. It seems that the parking brake set light had not extinguished, although the brakes were released. We reset and released the parking brakes several times on the taxiway, there was no recurrence of the problem. I saw no reason to return to the gate so I got back in line and went on to atlanta.
