Narrative:
For several years many of our B747-400 aircraft have a problem with the feeder cable located in the main galley shorting-out several emergency egress lights (eel) due to water collecting between the black rubber mat and the floor boards [underneath].

Title: An Avionics Mechanic reports that over half of the B747-400 aircraft he has done A-Checks on have a problem with Emergency Egress Lighting (EEL) Feeder Cables shorting-out due to water collecting between the floor mat and the floor boards in the Main Galley.
