Narrative:

I was vectoring an F18 toward nkx for an approach when I noticed 2 F5s descending out of FL300 from the south; on a C tag. The F5s continued descending toward nkx and turned west; toward the F18. After taking care of other traffic I noticed the 2 F5s descending toward my airspace and right at the F18. I called traffic and got the F18 to see the flight of 2 F5s just before loss of separation. The 2 F5s descended to 16;000; the F18's altitude and passed about 1.5 to 2.5 miles away. I received a call at that point with a hand off for the 2f5s from la center. Recommendation; better communications between facsfac; la center; and sct. Facsfac probably should have pointed the flight out to center; and handed it off to me.

Title: SCT Controller described a near loss of separation event when a military flight entered SCT's airspace without required coordination; the reporter listing coordination failures between FACSFAC; ZLA and SCT as a probable cause.
