Narrative:

I was attempting to depart 4g7 on runway 4. After starting takeoff roll and reaching a speed of approximately 80 mph, I lost power in the left engine. I stopped the takeoff and taxied into the run-up area on the approach end of runway 22. At that time I stopped the engines, shut down the aircraft, and got out. After getting out of the aircraft, the left engine caught fire causing damage to the left engine, wing, propeller, landing gear, etc.

Title: AN SMA TWIN LOST POWER ON LEFT ENGINE DURING TKOF. TKOF ABORTED AND AFTER STOPPING ACFT THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE CAUSING DAMAGE TO ENGINE WIND PROPELLER AND LNDG GEAR.

Narrative: I WAS ATTEMPTING TO DEPART 4G7 ON RWY 4. AFTER STARTING TKOF ROLL AND REACHING A SPD OF APPROX 80 MPH, I LOST PWR IN THE LEFT ENG. I STOPPED THE TKOF AND TAXIED INTO THE RUN-UP AREA ON THE APCH END OF RWY 22. AT THAT TIME I STOPPED THE ENGS, SHUT DOWN THE ACFT, AND GOT OUT. AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE ACFT, THE LEFT ENG CAUGHT FIRE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT ENG, WING, PROP, LNDG GEAR, ETC.
