Narrative:

Cleared for takeoff on runway 17L at E2. Started takeoff roll; advanced power; came up to about 40 inches manifold pressure. At about 90-95 KTS; just before takeoff; lost turbocharger on left engine; manifold pressure dropped to about 25 inches. Reduced power on right engine and applied right rudder to keep plane going straight. Reduced power on both engines to keep straight; started applying brakes; told tower I was aborting takeoff. I continued trying to slow down with heaving braking and must have overheated the brakes because braking action was very limited. This caused me to run off the end of the runway. There were no injuries or damage to the aircraft. I think I did not reduce power to idle on both engines fast enough or apparently not all the way to idle.
