Narrative:

At the beginning of the shift; I was assigned by my lead mr.'a'; along with my fellow amt mechanic 'Y'; to work at jack point 'east' on left hand [wing]; inboard side of the wing; to jack the aircraft. When I was at the site; I found the jack pad [adapter] was already installed and jack was seated with the 4;000 pounds of pressure on it. When all the jacks were in place; my lead mr.'a' instructed us to start jacking and he left the site to check on the right wing jacking area. I was on the left-hand wing dock to make sure the jack gets locked as the jacking process continues. As my colleague mr.'Y' opened up the pneumatic pressure; the jacking process started. As jacking process was undergoing; I heard the panel cracking sound; I found the panel underneath the jack pad started cracking and I yelled at my colleague mr.'Y' to stop the jacking process. At this point he immediately stopped the jacking process.
