Narrative:

I was stopped on taxiway C short of C-8 per tower instructions (eastbound). About one minute later tower instructed us to resume taxi via C-8; B; and C-6 to the gate. Just after I released the parking brake and began to add power I saw a vehicle shoot out from under the nose of my plane and proceeding rapidly northbound (to my left). At that time the flying first officer also exclaimed about the vehicle. Vehicle was an extended tug or perhaps a lavatory service truck; blue in color. We received no warning from the ground control nor had my two first officers seen this threat.
