Narrative:

After take off and clean up passing 5;500 feet; and approximately 230 kts; the number two engine rolled back and shut down. The captain was flying so we changed aircraft control and the captain ran the engine failure checklist while I flew the aircraft. We leveled off at 6;000 ft and declared an emergency; and asked to return to our departure airport. We tried to restart the engine per the checklist but it failed to restart. When all checklists were completed we landed. From engine failure to landing was about 15 minutes. We landed normally and taxied to the gate.maintenance advised the fuel control unit failed.
