Narrative:

A flight of [2] military aircraft were handed off to denver approach. Aircraft were -quail-fqf-bkf at FL210. The aircraft were to enter denver approach south departure airspace. What I did not notice was that the computer had started handing the aircraft to the wrong approach control sector. The aircraft should have handed to south tags or south departure. The aircraft instead handed to X tag (arrivals). This has been an ongoing problem that remains unfixed. Aircraft that are at assigned altitudes do not hand to the right sectors at den approach. I feel this is just an adaptation problem that remains unfixed. I took the hand off back and initiated a hand off to south tags. The aircraft was taken by departure; (south tags); before the aircraft had entered their airspace. Recommendation; fix the problem.

Title: ZDV Controller described an incorrect directed hand off to DEN Approach control; indicating the automated wrong sector hand off problem has been on going for some time and needs to be corrected.

Narrative: A flight of [2] military aircraft were handed off to Denver Approach. Aircraft were -QUAIL-FQF-BKF at FL210. The aircraft were to enter Denver Approach South Departure Airspace. What I did not notice was that the computer had started handing the aircraft to the wrong approach control sector. The aircraft should have handed to S tags or South Departure. The aircraft instead handed to X tag (Arrivals). This has been an ongoing problem that remains unfixed. Aircraft that are at assigned altitudes do not hand to the right sectors at DEN Approach. I feel this is just an adaptation problem that remains unfixed. I took the hand off back and initiated a hand off to S tags.
